| The interstellar cycler and Lorentz force turning is fascinating; however, I think that a practical cycler system or beam rider network would need to be combined with mass beam stations to direct passing ships onward towards other stars too. The math has been kept as simple as possible. It seems to me that obtaining the most powerful charge possible is key to making Lorentz turning effective. Could carbon nanotube cables be the key to this? |
