Skar - Just for arguments sake: If Karl wanted to use the Tor edition art he would have to negotiate those rights with the artist. Tor only owns rights for our editions. Since the artwork is already done and Karl is offering the book for free, the artist might have donated the usage for little or no fee. If the book was being sold, then some kind more equitable payment would be expected.
